Sara Graham studied at University of Guelph (MFA, 2006), Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (BFA, 1997) and the Banff Centre of the Arts (2002). Graham has been primarily concerned with the issues and ideas of the contemporary city. Her current work explores (and explodes) geographic fictions, through the means and methods of architecture, urban planning and art. She is specifically engaged in a cross-disciplinary approach that incorporates philosophical, cultural, sociological and architectural criticism of the nature and condition of the city and city life.

Her latest project is the creation of Citymovement, a multidisplinary project that examines and documents how we shape and are shaped by systems through the development and presentation of product design objects and prototypes that explore the boundaries between art, design, urban form and architecture.

Graham has upcomming exhibitions at MKG127 (Toronto), Musuem London (London, ON), MOCCA (Toronto) and Kenderdine Art Gallery (Saskatoon) and has exhibited across Canada with recent exhibitions in Bilton Contemporary (Red Deer), Nuit Blanche (Toronto), Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery (Kitchener), Confederation Centre Art Gallery & Museum (Charlottetown), The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery (St John’s), Nuit Blanche (Toronto), YYZ Artists’ Outlet (Toronto), The New Gallery (Calgary), Articule (Montreal), MKG127 (Toronto). She was a finalist for the 2010 Toronto Friends of the Visual Arts Artist Prize.
